At first, I wanted a different lens for every situation. Over time, I've found myself constantly coming back to 24–70mm. I like being close to people, meeting their eyes and feeling like I'm inside whatever is happening.

I'm not a professional photographer. I'm learning. I'm drawn to people, color, the contrast with my own culture and experimenting with new ways of seeing. I care less and less about making a photograph perfect, and more about preserving a moment.

I'm taking it slowly. But maybe that's what I love most about photography: feeling that I'm still learning how to see.
